Answer the following questions as your character. If your character would refuse to answer, have them respond how they would naturally, but include internal dialogue in either prose or brackets (your choice) with their thoughts on it.
Q1: You've been stranded on a desert island with only one standard-size travel suitcase. If you could only have 3 items in that suitcase, what would you want those items to be and why?
Q2: Tell us about a defining event in your life that you think influenced who you are today.
Q3: What does family mean to you and who do you consider a part of your family?
Q4: Tell me about a time you were involved in a personal conflict (not a physical fight). What would you do differently to resolve it?
Q5: Do you have any regrets? If so, what are the biggest ones? If not, what is something you wish you had gotten to do back home?

Answer the following questions as your character. If your character would refuse to answer, have them respond how they would naturally, but include internal dialogue in either prose or brackets (your choice) with their thoughts on it.
Q1: You've been stranded on a desert island with only one standard-size travel suitcase. If you could only have 3 items in that suitcase, what would you want those items to be and why?
"First of all, why give me luggage at all if you're only gonna let me bring three items? Seems like a waste to me. But fine, if you're limiting me to three, then I'd probably bring a hunting knife, a pot, and flint. The hunting knife is self-explanatory, and I can use the pot to cook and boil whatever water I can find to safely drink. Can't boil water or cook without starting a fire, so that's what the flint is for."
Q2: Tell us about a defining event in your life that you think influenced who you are today.
"Hm... I'd say making that promise with Felix when we were kids. Back then, a pinky promise was as serious as a blood oath and we promised that we'd always stick together no matter what, even in death. Pretty morbid as far as promises go, right? But the fact that he'd wanted to make that promise with me out of everyone else... well, it really stuck with me. He was the only one who cared about me for who I was, and not because of my crest. That promise kept me going for a long time, even during moments when I was ready to throw it all away."
Q3: What does family mean to you and who do you consider a part of your family?
"The thing about family is, you can't change it no matter how much you want to. They'd put you in this world and that's something you just have to live with for the rest of your life. My family has never meant much to me and neither did I matter to them outside of having a crest and siring an heir. But there are people who care about me for who I am and not because of what I have. Felix, Ingrid, Dimitri... I'd say they're my actual family if I had to define it."
Q4: Tell me about a time you were involved in a personal conflict (not a physical fight). What would you do differently to resolve it?
"Back when we were still attending the Officer's Academy, a new professor joined our class. She was a mercenary and was born with a crest, though she didn't know anything about what it was or what it meant until her and her father came to the monastery. I didn't think someone like that existed; crests are so ingrained in the life and culture of Faerghus that it was hard for me to imagine someone who didn't have to carry all that weight. So, I did the logical thing and became jealous of her... enough to hate her for some time and wish for her demise.
But thinking back on it now, I don't think I actually hated her. I guess I just wished that I could have had a life like hers. Free from the burden and expectations that comes with having a crest, free to live my life the way I want to. I still need to apologize to her, to be honest, but I think I could've done better by being upfront with her."
Q5: Do you have any regrets? If so, what are the biggest ones? If not, what is something you wish you had gotten to do back home?
"I wish I'd given Miklan a piece of my mind. I wish I stood my ground and tried to reach out to him. He wasn't a good person, I know, and he's irredeemable. But he didn't deserve the way our parents treated him and I wish there was something I could've done to help him."
There's no use dwelling on the past, not when Miklan is already dead. But he hated the fact that it took that fight at Conand Tower to free him from the vicious cycle of proving his worth.
"If there was a way for me to give him my crest, believe me... I would've."
