Sylvain has a history of child abuse, an unhealthy amount of self-loathing/self-worth issues, and had at one point used relationships/intimacy as a method of self harm. He's gotten a lot better with the latter, but this man needs therapy and while I won't be going into a lot of detail for any of the above and will mainly just reference them occasionally in meta-text, please let me know in the comments below if you're uncomfortable with any of that and I'll cut that shit out.
